FAQs
Can't I just use cleaning tablets?
Tablets are worth using, just not on their own. They work chemically on surfaces the solution touches, but they don't dislodge buildup packed into grooves and hinges. Most people get the best result using both: drop a tablet into the tank and run a cycle.
What's wrong with brushing it?
Bristles are harder than aligner plastic. Over months, brushing leaves fine scratches that make the appliance look cloudy and give plaque more surface to cling to. Ultrasonic cleaning has no physical contact at all.
What about the UV light, does it do anything?
It's a secondary step, not the main event. UV needs a clear line of sight to a surface, so it does very little while debris is still in the water. The ultrasonic cycle does the actual cleaning; the UV is a finishing pass once the water has cleared. If you only ever used the UV mode, you wouldn't get much out of it.
How do I clean the CrystalPod itself?
Tip out the water after each cycle and wipe the tank dry. Rinse it properly once a week.
