Last updated: 22 August 2026
Avuera ("Avuera", "we", "us", "our") operates this online store and website, including all related content, features, tools, products and services (together, the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify. We ship to customers in the United States.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. Where the law of your state gives you stronger rights than this policy describes, that law applies.
If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy controls for anything relating to personal information.
By using the Services, you confirm you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Who is responsible for your data. Avuera is the "business" and controller responsible for the personal information described here.
Please note: we operate from the Czech Republic. Your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the European Union and the United States. See section 8.
1. Notice at collection — information we collect
We collect the categories below, depending on how you interact with us. "Personal information" means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymous or de-identified data.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California and other state privacy laws, and we ask you not to send it to us. Our products are consumer cleaning devices, not medical devices, and we do not collect health or dental information about you.
We do not knowingly collect or process the personal information of anyone under 16.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some of our advertising activity may still count as a "sale" or "sharing" under state law — see section 6.
2. Where the information comes from
- Directly from you — when you order, create an account, contact support, leave a review, or subscribe to emails.
- Automatically — through cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
- From our service providers — Shopify, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment partners, analytics and email providers acting on our behalf.
- From advertising and social platforms — when you click an ad or interact with our content, subject to your choices on those platforms.
3. How we use your information
- Providing the Services — processing orders and payments, arranging shipping, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, answering support requests.
- Security and fraud prevention — authenticating accounts, detecting fraudulent or abusive activity, protecting the Services and our customers.
- Improving the Services — analytics, troubleshooting, testing, and developing new products and features.
- Marketing and advertising — sending promotional emails or texts you signed up for, showing you ads on other websites and social platforms, and measuring how those ads perform.
- Personalization — recommending products, remembering preferences, tailoring what you see.
- Legal and compliance — tax and accounting records, responding to lawful requests, establishing or defending legal claims, enforcing our terms.
We do not use your personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.
4. When we disclose your information
We disclose personal information in these situations:
- Service providers — Shopify (hosting and store platform), payment processors, fulfillment and shipping partners, email and SMS providers, analytics providers, customer-support tools, cloud storage. They may only use the data to perform services for us.
- Advertising and marketing partners — including major ad and social platforms. This may involve sharing identifiers and activity data so we can show you relevant ads and measure results. This is the activity that may count as a "sale", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" under state law — see section 6.
- At your direction — for example when you use a social login or ask us to share details with a third party.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or insolvency, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Legal reasons — where we must comply with law, respond to valid legal process, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, our users, or the public.
We also disclose de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
5. Our relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Information you submit is transmitted to and processed by Shopify, and may be processed in countries other than where you live, in order to run and improve the store. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features drawing on data about your interactions with our store, other Shopify merchants, and Shopify itself. For those features, Shopify is responsible for the processing and for responding to related requests. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/consumer-privacy-policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
6. Your U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island — you may have some or all of these rights:
- Right to know / access — what personal information we hold about you, where we got it, why we use it, and who we disclose it to.
- Right to delete — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Right to portability — receive a copy in a portable format.
- Right to opt out of "sale", "sharing", and targeted advertising — see below.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we don't collect it, so there's nothing to limit.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will never charge you a different price or give you worse service for exercising your rights.
- Right to appeal — if we decline a request and your state provides an appeal right, email support@avuera.co with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.
Targeted advertising, "sale" and "sharing". We share personal information with advertising partners so we can show you more relevant ads across other websites and apps. Under certain U.S. state privacy laws this may be considered a "sale", "sharing", or "targeted advertising", even though no money changes hands. Depending on where you live, you have the right to opt out. To do so, follow the instructions on our Your Privacy Choices page.
Global Privacy Control. If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, then depending on where you are, we will treat this as a request to opt out of activity that may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or other uses that may be considered targeted advertising, for the device and browser you used to visit our website. If we can associate that device with a Shopify account, we will apply the opt-out to that account as well. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Apart from GPC, we do not currently respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
Marketing emails and texts. Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to a marketing text. We may still send non-promotional messages about your orders or account.
How to exercise your rights. Email support@avuera.co, or use the tools linked on the Services. We may need to verify your identity, and may ask for information that helps us match your request to our records. You may use an authorized agent, but we will require proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly with you. We respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where permitted, and we'll tell you if we need the extension.
7. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
We ship only within the United States, but our website is accessible from elsewhere, and we are established in the Czech Republic — so European data protection law applies to our processing.
If you're in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you additionally have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to request restriction of processing, to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out), and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (orders, payments, shipping, support); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement, direct marketing to existing customers); consent (non-essential cookies, marketing to new subscribers); and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
8. International transfers
We operate from the Czech Republic and our service providers are located in the United States and elsewhere. Your personal information will therefore be transferred across borders, including between the EU and the U.S.
Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on a recognized transfer mechanism — normally the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — unless the destination benefits from an adequacy decision. Email support@avuera.co for a copy of the safeguards we use.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary, functional, analytics and advertising cookies. Advertising cookies are the ones relevant to the opt-out rights described in section 6. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly "sell" or "share" the personal information of anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email support@avuera.co and we will delete it.
11. Security and retention
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, and rely on Shopify and PCI-compliant payment processors for payment security. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security, so please don't send sensitive or confidential information through unsecured channels.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Order and transaction records — as required by Czech accounting and tax law, generally up to 10 years.
- Account data — while your account is open, plus a short period afterwards.
- Support correspondence — normally up to 3 years after the matter is closed.
- Marketing data — until you unsubscribe, plus a record of your opt-out so we can honor it.
- Cookie and analytics data — as set out in our Cookie Policy.
12. Third-party sites
The Services may link to sites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or security. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We'll post the updated version here, change the "Last updated" date, and give additional notice where the law requires it.
